Age stratified trends in pulmonary hypertension-related mortality in the United States, 2004–2019

      Pulmonary hypertension (pH)-related hospitalizations in the United States have increased in recent decades, and pH-related mortality in older individuals has accelerated more rapidly than in younger groups.

      Until 2010, older individuals had higher mortality rates compared to younger individuals, but to our knowledge, no new data has been reported. Therefore, we aimed to characterize the changing mortality rates between 2004 and 2019, as delineated by age group.
